‘Love & Marriage: Huntsville’ Star Marsau Scott Arrested After Early-Morning Fight in Alabama
Love & Marriage: Huntsville star Marsau Scott was arrested in Alabama following an early-morning disturbance that police say involved a fight inside a Huntsville business.
Scott, 46, was taken into custody on Sunday, June 28, 2026, and booked into the Madison County Jail at approximately 7:31 a.m., according to booking information. Records list charges of third-degree simple assault, harassment and an alias writ arrest involving a misdemeanor.
The reality television personality was released later that morning at approximately 9:58 a.m., less than three hours after he was booked. The alias writ carried a reported $600 bond.
Additional information released by the Huntsville Police Department provided more context about the circumstances leading to Scott’s arrest.
According to police, officers responded to a disturbance call at approximately 5 a.m. in the 4200 block of Oakwood Avenue. Authorities said Scott was involved in a fight that occurred inside a business. Officers broke up the altercation before Scott was arrested and transported to the Madison County Jail. The case remained under investigation following his arrest, and police did not publicly identify the other person or people involved in the fight.
Scott and his wife, fellow Love & Marriage: Huntsville personality LaTisha Scott, own Blaque Cigar Lounge, which is located at 4206 Oakwood Avenue NW — on the same block where police said the disturbance occurred. Neither the Huntsville Police Department nor the available arrest records, however, publicly confirmed that the altercation took place inside Blaque. The lounge’s official website identifies Marsau and LaTisha as its owners.
Booking records indicate the assault and harassment matters originated with the Huntsville Police Department, while the Madison County Sheriff’s Office was listed in connection with the misdemeanor alias writ.
Scott appeared to reference the unexpected turn of events shortly after leaving jail.
Earlier, the reality star had promoted his planned appearance in a celebrity basketball tournament scheduled for that Sunday. After his release, however, he posted the tournament graphic to his Instagram Story and indicated he would no longer be participating.
“Everyone needs a little rest every now and then,” Scott wrote, while also adding the basketball term “load management” to his post.
The June arrest was Scott’s second known arrest in a little more than a year.
In March 2025, Scott was booked into the Madison County Jail after authorities said he had an outstanding alias warrant connected to a speeding citation and an alleged failure to appear. He was booked on March 28 and released later that evening after posting a $300 bond.
Scott is not the only person associated with Love & Marriage: Huntsville to encounter legal trouble in recent years.
His older brother and fellow cast member Maurice Scott was arrested over Memorial Day weekend in May 2024 on a misdemeanor DUI charge. Maurice was released on a $5,000 bond. The case did not ultimately proceed to prosecution: in November 2024, the State of Alabama filed a motion of nolle prosequi, ending the DUI case and waiving his bond fee and court costs.
Former cast member Destiny Payton was also arrested in Huntsville in May 2024 on an identity-theft charge. Madison County records cited in contemporaneous reporting showed that Payton was booked on May 16 and released about an hour and a half later on a $5,000 bond. The matter followed an earlier legal dispute involving allegations that she improperly used the signature of her former husband, La’Berrick Williams, in connection with a Huntsville Utilities bond. An earlier forgery case stemming from related allegations was dismissed after a court found insufficient probable cause to move forward.
Martell Holt, another longtime member of the Huntsville ensemble, was arrested in January 2024 on a domestic violence-harassing communications charge stemming from allegations involving his former wife, Melody Shari. Holt denied intentionally harming or harassing the accuser through a statement released by his representative.
The arrests involving Marsau, Maurice, Destiny and Martell — including Marsau’s two separate bookings — make Scott’s June 2026 arrest the fifth involving a Love & Marriage: Huntsville cast member since January 2024.
Marsau has appeared on Love & Marriage: Huntsville since the series debuted on OWN in January 2019. The reality series originally followed successful Black couples working together on business and real-estate ventures in Huntsville while documenting their marriages, families and professional relationships.
As of the initial reports following Scott’s June 28 arrest, authorities had not publicly released additional details identifying the other parties involved in the alleged fight or explaining what led to the confrontation.
The OWN personality was released from the Madison County Jail less than three hours after he was booked on multiple charges.
